Firebird has worked closely with Westmeath building contractor Mike Maloney, in recent years to deliver renewable NZEB compliance projects. “For us as developers and building contractors, it can be challenging to ensure we comply with new regulations, particularly in relation to new builds, which is why it has made my life so much easier to work with Firebird,” Mr Maloney stated. “I know and trust Firebird to deliver the expertise and the quality products that are required to meet today’s standards.

Firebird was the ideal choice for the projects particularly given the product permutations it offers” Brendan explained. "Before the refurbishment of these sites, heating in these buildings was provided by large, inefficient cast iron boilers,” engineer Brendan McGrath described. “Although the properties were well insulated, areas of the buildings were un-zoned, which posed a problem as the car showrooms needed to maintain a comfortable temperature for customers and staff in the adjoining office areas. I needed a heating system that would rapidly respond to the needs of the client in all weather conditions." “I had used Firebird products in the past and had always been satisfied with the performance, reliability and support given, so they were an obvious choice for this project."

There were two cast iron boilers in place but they were inefficient and not doing the job the cathedral required,” explained Mark McGavigan. “We installed Firebird C100 Enviromax Popular Boilers in a cascade format and they are superb. It used to take the old boilers two hours to heat the church but the new Firebird system takes just 15 minutes. The Firebird boilers were really straightforward to install too, so overall, we were delighted with this project.“I’ve definitely been converted to Firebird. The boilers are highly efficient and easy to install while the back-up service from the company is of a really high standard.”
