AIM:
The aim of the course is to equip Leaners with the knowledge, skill, and competence to design, install and commission heat pump systems for domestic space heating and hot water supply in accordance with applicable standards and codes of practice.

OBJECTIVES:
The programme will provide an extensive insight into Heat Pump Systems and will prepare candidates for the end of programme examinations. Learners who successfully complete the course and are recommended for certification, can apply for registration with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland as a Qualified Installer.

• Hydronic Integration.
• Modes of Operation.
• Installation and Testing of Heat Pump Systems.
• Commissioning and Testing the Heat Pump.
• Maintenance.

Trainee profile: Level 6 National Craft Certificate or Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing, Electrical,

Refrigeration, Fitters1 or equivalent.
